While by itself it is not a knot, the lark's head is the starting point for most knots in bondage
The Finger Test
Just because we are tying someone up does not mean that the rope has to be so tight its cutting off their circulation. After you tighten the rope you should be able to slide a finger in between the rope and the skin.
